PrayFAST

Pray For A Soldier Team

 MOTTO:  Hood’s Got Your Back!

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:  A focused initiative of Fort Hood to give every deploying soldier an opportunity to sign up for a Personal Prayer Warrior who has committed to pray daily for their Soldier and his/her family for protections, finances, Unit Chaplain, or anything that affects the Soldier or family.

BASIC CONCEPT:  PrayFAST (Pray For A Soldier Team) is a prayer ministry based at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas.  This ministry reaches out to soldiers at their deployment time with an offer to have someone pray for them while they are away and for three months after they return. Praying for the Soldier the additional three months helps the Soldiers and their family members to rebuild their relationships after the deployment.

While many soldiers already have a good support system of family, friends and churches, many do not and PrayFAST tries to reach these young soldiers.

A wallet-sized card with the Soldier Prayer and Psalm 91 is given to each soldier.  Prayer Warriors will be given the Soldier's name and suggested prayer.
